When Emily moved to Milan in 2014 from New York City, she had only been once before. With starry eyes and big dreams, she earned an internship with Etro, and said, “perchè no!?” A few years and many cappuccinos later, Emily Levine SS18 collection was born.
The brand is a culmination of feel good products that started with the creation of the Flo Crochet bag on Emily’s inspirational trip to Japan. The fusion of Japanese and Indian aesthetic was what brought this collection to life. Each bag is one-of-a-kind and artfully hand-crafted in India. They are produced in small quantities and in partnership with local female artisans who work from home to support their families. Colorful beads on crochet, refined embroidery, upcycled antique silk saris, and the ancient method of block-printing are the recipe for Emily’s first collection. All of this makes her accessories the perfect touch for sunny days in the city, at the beach or on the go to somewhere beautiful.
Emily also incorporated unique, handmade jewelry that is inspired by nostalgia. As little girls we have all worn our colorful beaded jewelry, walked across beaches in search of shells, and watched with glittery eyes as our mothers and grandmothers put on their pearl earrings and necklaces. With her handmade treasures, Emily wants you to rediscover the comfort of nostalgia. She wants you to walk out from her pop-up shops or online store with one of her friendship bracelets to gift your bestie or a peperoncino around your neck, as it’ll be sure to bring you luck.
